For the rest of the summer, I’ll be spending my Mondays at the pediatric clinic for my internship. I wanted to look legit, so this is what I wore on my first day there. It was really chilly in the morning so the sweater was perfect. And I went with neutrals because they’re just so classy. At the clinic, I was briefly mistaken for an interpreter, which is cool because I do speak Spanish, although not as well as I used to, so I probably can’t really interpret as much as awkwardly communicate in present tense. I also wore flats because I figured I would be on my feet most of the day so I wanted to be comfortable.
This bag is great because it fits my laptop, notebook, text book, AND planner without being too bulky. It also has a removeable cross-body strap, which is really convenient when I’m carrying all that stuff in it and my shoulder feels like it’s going to fall off from all the weight. That happens a lot. I actually carry A LOT of bags when I’m at school and my friends jokingly call me the bag lady. I usually have my book bag, my purse, an extra bag to carry the stuff that wouldn’t fit in my book bag, and my lunch bag. Life is hard, y’all.

[…] really light sweaters like this one. I’ve worn this sweater with black cropped slacks before (here) so this time I’ve pairing it with my coated denim and leopard flats, both of which feel […]
That bag is so great, Nikki!! I am a bag lady as well, but I’m trying hard to not be – it’s not easy, though!! I love the whole classy neutrals look – I try to dress in neutrals as much as I can because they are just easy!! š
I’m glad I’m not the only “bag lady!” around!! Such a cute outfit – love the pearls and how the shoes tie everything together =)

Bags are essential, for sure! The best thing about these shoes is that the little rhinestones sparkle in the sunlight!
Perfect look for the internship–what are you going to school for? I think you can never go wrong with neutrals and a cute bag that holds all the essentials!

Tori, I’m getting my Master’s in Public Health. So far, I’m loving it but I can’t wait for graduation next year! I’m not sure what I want to do when I’m finished but I have a lot of interests and passions, and I live in a good area, so I feel like the possibilities are endless š
