What do you do when it’s sort of warm and sunny but there’s still a chilly breeze? Well, I wear a maxi skirt with ankle boots and a huge knit scarf. I’ve only recently started wearing maxi skirts and maxi dresses because I’m so short and was afraid they wouldn’t fit or they would make me look even shorter. But, as it turns out, they’re pretty awesome even for the shorties like me (especially when they come in petite sizes!). In my opinion, maxi skirts are one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing you can wear and fun prints make them even better. I’m surprised I don’t have more.
Oh, hi there. Did I just pull my hair up and make the sun shine brighter? Why, yes I did! In full disclosure, I took the first few photos myself with my tripod and the self-timer – apparently, they don’t make a remote for my camera yet – and, as you can probably see, they turned out a little blurry. I just happened to be wearing this outfit again (because it’s so comfortable) so I made Nick snap a few more, brighter photos. I hope that’s not too weird.
And here’s the fun one: I’m twirling!

I love a good maxi! I have that maxi print in their leggings and I have been debating on getting the maxi! Looks great on you!! Thanks for linking up!
Oh, I didn’t know they had leggings in this print, how fun! Leggings are almost as comfortable as the skirts, in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by!
There is nothing better than a maxi….even in the winter!
Thanks for linking up!
Oh, I love this! Maxi skirts and dresses are my fave, they are sort of like wearing nightgowns outside, right? I take almost all my photos with a remote and tripod, so I feel you pain…technology! Thanks for linking up!
Yes, maxi skirts are the best! I’m sure if I had a remote for my camera taking photos wit my tripod would be much easier.
Ha, I never thought of them as wearing nightgowns outside but now that you mention it, they totally are! Cute and approproate nightgowns. Now I want to sleep in them 🙂
your pictures look great and that is a really fun outfit, scarf is a great addition
Thank you very muchy!
I actually don’t think the pics are blurry at all! I’m kind of amazed these are self timer photos because the few times I tried it – it was impossible!!
But back to your outfit 🙂 It’s great – I always struggle with pairing shoes with a maxi in the winter, but those booties are perfect. Love the scarf too – great look!
Great to see you at Manic Monday! Hope you’re back next week!
The self-timer photos are really hard to get right, which is why I don’t like doing them! Also, I feel like I have more fun in the photos when my husband takes them. But I’m very glad you like the outfit 🙂
Hee hee, love the twirling picture. Totally love this black/white/rich pink color combination and I like the idea of layering the scarf with a long necklace underneath. I might need to try that myself. Thanks for sharing your look with Manic Monday! – Gina

Gina, I’m glad you like the necklace/scarf layering. I first did it because I wasn’t sure which I liked better, the scarf or the necklace, but then I realized I liked them both! There’s no reason to choose.
