October is one of our favorite months, probably for all of the obvious reason (fall, Halloween, etc.) but also for some other, lesser known reasons. Since October is just around the corner, as in two days from now, I thought I would share a few of the reasons we perk up a little more around this time of year.
Pumpkin is, of course, the star of the Fall season and gets all the limelight but I think a lot of the other fall vegetables get overlooked. I particularly love acorn and spaghetti squash, apples, and sweet potatoes.
Also, seasonal beer flavors are in full swing. Pumpkin Spice Latte ain’t got nothing on a good pumpkin ale. Our favorite right now is Sam Adams Fat Jack, a limited release craft beer that’s double pumpkin with flavors of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg and has dark caramel notes. If you get a chance to try it, it’s delicious.
