1. Sock Bun Tutorial for Short Hair
Pin:
My Version:
It took me a little while to perfect this one but it’s my go-to updo hairstyle, and I’ve been doing it for a few years now. In fact, this photo is from 2014. You’ll need two elastics, a bunch of bobby pins depending on how short your hair is, and some really good hairspray. I’ve found that it works best when my hair is about shoulder length or slightly longer, but you can definitely make it work when it’s past your shoulders. It just might take a little more effort. The trick is getting all the hair tucked in just right, but when you do, it looks pretty good.

These are great ideas! I love the idea of having a small clothing rack. That would be so useful!
Love these I actually bookmarked this page to come back to these ideas.
That’s great, Melissa! I hope some of them work out for you as well as they have for me 🙂
the muffin tin idea is GENIUS! I would have never thought to do that!
I love pinterest! Sadly things don’t always turn out but I keep on trying.

I love the grad cap styling. I just went with it when I graduated. lol. Jess at Just Jess
I just went with it, too, for my undergrad ceremony and it was fine. If I had known about this trick then, I totally would have done it, though! 🙂
I really like the muffin tin hack! It doesn’t require me to be crafty! lol
Sarah, I know what you mean. I’ve tried a few crafty ideas from Pinterest and some turned out alright but others not so much. I think sometimes you have to have the magic touch!
