There isn’t much color in this photo. Some days are just like that. There’s a pop of red in the lining of my trench, which you can see in the bottom photo, and there’s green/mint in the necklace, but I went straight up neutral. If I had red flats, I probably would’ve put those on instead. I wore this outfit on Sunday to meet up with my group to prepare for a presentation this week, and I wasn’t really inspired to wear color, especially since I was just going to be sitting in the library for a few hours.

BUT. There’s more to these flats than meets the eye. They have little, shiny studs that catch the light and sparkle. So I may not be wearing color, but I’m technically wearing sparkle, and in my opinion, that’s the true spice to life!

And here’s the fun one! Does this photo make anyone else think of a flasher? Ooops!

Look at how lovely and elegant gold and white are together! Gold/silver/white is my favorite winter color combination so its only natural that I would put it together in an outfit. White pants are still scary for me but I really like them here. After having a really warm couple of days, we’re back to chilly weather; sweater weather if you will! How’s that for fashion blogger cliche?

It’s hard to see in the photos, but this sweater has some sparkle to it. For that reason, it almost feels too dressy to wear to class tonight but I think the white denim provides a nice balance. And this scarf is perfect for fall with its muted colors. Its another piece that reminds me of something an old college professor would wear (much like my elbow-patch blazer),somewhat masculine.
