Attendee Info

We will begin the ceremony promptly at 5:00 PM and the reception will take place immediately after. Both will be held in our grassy backyard so please wear appropriate shoes such as  flat sandals, wedge heels, and loafers. We are trying to achieve a garden party feel, so please dress nice and comfortably. Although it is not a black-tie affair, we are asking that you not wear denim 🙂

Here are a few things to note before arriving at our home on October 1st:

Live Stream!

Since we decided to have a small ceremony in our yard, we knew we couldn’t invite everyone we wanted to.  Thanks to technology, that doesn’t mean everybody we couldn’t invite has to miss out completely.  We’ll be streaming the ceremony and some of the reception live on our ustream channel, so you can watch from the comfort of your home wherever you are.

RSVP

Sorry! RSVPs were due August 15th. The form is now closed and we’re assuming that you’re not coming. If you still decide to come, awesome; but you’ll likely not have a chair to sit in and you’ll be eating with your hands if there’s enough food left to feed you.

Parking

Please park along Butler Street (the street our house is on). The earlier you arrive, the better chance you will have for parking closer to our house. You may park on either side of the street but please do NOT block any of the neighbors’ driveways. If you find that there isn’t space for you on Butler St, you can drive down to the stop sign and continue left onto Buchanan St. and park along this street. If, for some reason, there is no parking on either street, there is a church located less than 1/4 of a mile down the main street – Farrington Rd and there is another subdivision called Five Oakes almost directly across the street (just past the fire station) where you can also park along the street.

Lodging

There are several hotels near our house, all located just off the interstate and all within a few miles of our house. Map View

Registry

While we have a registry, we certainly do not expect anyone to get us a gift. It serves more as a “wish list” for things we plan to eventually purchase for ourselves when we start our next project: updating the house. *IF* you would like to buy us a gift, you’re more than welcome to choose something from the list. HOWEVER, in all honesty, we would much prefer cash that we could put toward a honeymoon  (I’m sure you’re not surprised how quickly your savings diminish when you buy a house and pay for a wedding all in the same year) or toward the aforementioned house updates. Either way, we appreciate all of you and are just happy that you’re sharing the day with us!
