I do not consider myself a trendy person, and sometimes too much trend at once will overwhelm and scare me. These pants are coated so they look shiny even though they’re denim. They’re gaining popularity these days and I like that they provide a nice alternative to leather pants/leggings because I’m just not there yet. That said, I wanted to keep it toned down a bit so I went for a simple monochrome look with the striped top and dark gray vest. Oh, and I added the hat because it just felt right.
I haven’t actually worn this outfit out yet but, just like yesterday’s outfit, it’s in the lineup. I’ll probably wear it to work and class one day this week since the weather is cooling off a bit.
Here you can see the shiny coated denim better.
I wanted to get more pictures in the sun because you can really see the shine of the coated denim but then this happens (which you’ll probably recognize from my Bloopers post):
Top & Pants: Banana Republic
Vest: Ross
Shoes: Anne Klein via DSW
Hat: Banana Republic
Nikki! You look like such a rockstar! I’m loving that coated denim and fun vest on you š
Thanks, Brynn; these pants make me feel like a rockstar š
Such an adorable look – I am so loving this hat on you! I really like these coated jeans and they are such a great in between piece. š
Thanks, Jennie! These jeans are really awesome, and I almost didn’t get them. I actually left the store and then went back to get them because I couldn’t stop thinking about them! They make me feel like I’m wearing leather pants without having to wear leather pants!
Someone on GOMI once said I should stop taking photos with my sunglasses on because my sunglasses were outdated. Apparently they live in a world with no sun and the ability to buy all the trendy sunglasses š I’ll stick to my sunny spots and my CVS sunglasses, thank you!
What?! Sunglasses are the best timeless accessory. As long as there is sun, there will be sunglasses. And sometimes, outfits just look better in the sunlight.
